30 Days of Characters 2024, 4: Pulg

Pulg is the dimwitted assistant/apprentice of The Grifter Alchemist. His boss makes him carry heavy loads, take experimental medicine and test dangerous inventions. Pulg takes it all in his stride. But secretly, he feels he deserves all this bad treatment, like he's done something bad, maybe long ago. As someone from medieval western Europe, he has no concept of karma, but if he did, he would absolutely feel that bad karma was the cause of how bad his life is.

(This is a bit heavy for a comedy/easter egg character who only appears in one short story from 30 years ago; but you know, this info could give him some depth and make him work better in a future appearance?)
