  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Is it common to eat previously hot food, such as lasagna, spaghetti, Mac n cheese, hamburger helper, cold? Or am the outlier?

Oh, but also, in getting back on your topic of eating food cold, that was previously hot. I do some batch cooking, and will cook a roast, then slice it up, and freeze multiple servings of different sizes. So, sometimes, I will just simply take a serving out of the freezer, and let it sit out for a while until it defrosts, and then eat that dipped in mustard. I do the same thing with ham, and pork roast, etc.

I will say that I don't make a full complete meal out of cold food. I more just "pick on it," and I generally don't eat big meals anymore. I tend to just "graze" through the day and night. If I get a little hungry, I"ll have a bite or 2 of food, and then I"m full. But it's good to have all these things on hand, so I don't eat foods that are the wrong ones for me.

Probably way too much info :D

Not TMI at all. I found it interesting. I’ve always been curious about using zucchini as a spaghetti substitute. At my core, I’m pretty lazy. I eat too much processed food. But I do like to cook. I don’t do it enough.

Btw, I just re read this, my original response was not nearly what it should have been. I absolutely love your creativity! I’ve always wanted to do something with cauliflower such as the pizza crust. I’m quite impressed with you.

Does anybody really care whether hot dogs come in packs of 10 and buns come in packs of 8?

I think we all know that at least two of those wieners are going to end up in somebody's ass or pussy anyway...

Was midget circus clown porn involved in the result you got back? Or is this just a rhetorical question?

My question and curiosity still remains regardless of the answer btw.

I know we have a few posts like "what are you reading now?", but what are some of your favorite books in general?

    1. paulavettbrothers
A few of mine: The Book Theif; One Second After, anything by Michael Crichton, especially The Great Train Robbery; The Kite Runner. I really need to start reading again!

@paulavettbrothers I only read a little bit daily. Of whichever book I'm currently on. Right now, it's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

The only Crichton book I've ever read is "Airframe", which I thought was really good.

State Of Fear is incredible, so is the Innocent Man, it’s a non fiction about a gross miscarriage of justice in a small Midwest town. His level of research is impeccable. Koko was good. They all were, not that I’ve read them all but I should.

Are you better off, financially or otherwise, than your parents were when they were the age that you are now?

Good question! Maybe kind of even? My parents stumbled into a partnership owner of a very successful Dairy Queen, it was my mom’s sister’s place. They got a piece of it when she passed away. That helped them significantly! My current retirement fund is much more than theirs. We both own our own homes at about the same time.

If you can think of a beginning of time, what happened 5 seconds prior? It boggles the mind to think it could just stretch endlessly backwards.

Same thing with space. If you imagine the furthest spot, what waits beyond that?

The interesting thing about space is that, due to the speed of light, the farther away you look, the farther back in time you see. When we look at M33, the Triangulum Galaxy, we're seeing it not as it exists now, but as it existed 2.7 million years ago. There is a hypothesis that, early after the Big Bang, the expansion of the universe occurred faster than the speed of light. If that's true, then there are parts of the universe that cannot be seen from Earth no matter how big a telescope we have, because the light from those areas has not had time to get here yet.

I think we're a left with two choices, we can have something, like the infinite universe, or nothing at all, and I don't think you can have nothing. Where would you keep nothing?

@johnrael Yeah, that's an interesting hypothesis. Also, also reminds me of how if we receive a radio message from intelligent life, chances are that it might be from thousands or millions of years ago. There are things humanity will never see before we go extinct, but the possibilities of discovery will always be exciting.

@Dearelliot I don't think there could be "nothing". Even a black hole or vacuum would qualify as "something".

Could only be answered subjectively, both of my parents were born in the late 1800’s, the technological advances until their deaths in the 1970’s must have been mind boggling. In their minds, I’m certain, they were far better off than their parents were.

As far as myself, I think I’m more comfortable in the financial aspect, but I’m not so sure in the lifestyle side of things.

Re better off than my parents: Yeah, I'm sure of that financially and otherwise probably, they fought all the time. My mother died at 46, the old man 63. Heart problems and TB, he probably brought his illness with him from the old country.

Same here, but with cancer for both of them... and the stress of living on military bases for 21 years didn't help. Base housing during the 50's and 60's was built in the 40's, asbestos, rats, cockroaches and base facilities office did shit about the condition.
