This is actually getting pretty comical. Treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans are screaming they won't raise the debt limit without cuts. Now fist of all the debt includes what Trump racked up and they voted for. But President Biden and the Democrats have taken the position of Ok you say you want cuts. What programs do you want to cut? Where do you want to make the cuts? Which exposes the phony and chickenshit games the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans are playing. Because they are refusing to go on the record and name the places they are willing to cut. But President Biden and the Democrats are going to make them do it.

'That's the law': CNN host schools GOP lawmaker during debt ceiling grilling

A tense CNN interview saw Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-SD) cornered by anchor Jim Sciutto Wednesday as the Republican repeatedly dodged questions about what he would be willing to cut in debt ceiling negotiations.

"On the budget demands of your party here, what specific programs are you putting on the table to cut?" asked Sciutto.

"That's not how a negotiation works," said Johnson. "The law says that the president needs to step forward with a budget first."

"But as you know, the debt ceiling relates to budgets already passed by Congresses, including with Republican votes," said Sciutto. "A negotiation, as you know, if you want to call it that, involves two sides presenting their positions. Can you name a single program that Republicans would be willing to cut money from to make a deal?

"I'm not putting all onus on Republicans. That's the law. The law puts onus on Congress and the nation to pay its bills. ...Is there a program that you can name that you personally would be willing to see money cut from?"

"I'm not going to negotiate against the Republican Party on CNN," Johnson insisted. "We're asking for President Biden to be responsible, sensible, and reasonable and be willing to come to the table and negotiate."

"Our Manu Raju is reporting that defense budget cuts are also on the table," said Sciutto. "Can you name a defense weapons system or program that you'd be willing to cut money from?"

Johnson responded: "I get what your goal is today, your goal is to get Republicans to negotiate against themselves."

"I'm asking the question because you represent the Republican Party," said Sciutto. "I've asked equal questions of Democratic lawmakers on this broadcast, which you are welcome to watch."

Yikes: Don Lemon Involved in Another Blow-up at Staffers
By Nick Arama | 6:00 PM on February 05, 2023

Don Lemon may not be much longer for CNN.

I reported earlier this week about the blow-up that Lemon had on the CNN set, screaming at his co-host Kaitlan Collins back in December. He accused her of “interrupting” him during their broadcast and she was so upset she “ran out of the studio,” according to reports. The cast and crew are still “rattled” and Collins wanted to spend as little time on the set with Lemon as possible.

CEO Chris Licht supposedly had a producer tell Lemon to “cool off” and told him to take a day off. He was off the following day. He was then told, “not to talk so much, to let other people talk.”

This collection from MRC, while not showing the screaming incident that boiled over, seems to show some of the tension/sensitivity from him in his interaction with Collins.

    https://twitter.com/theMRC/status/1...volved-in-another-blowout-at-staffers-n699103

You can see he seems to react when she interjects to say things.

But Don Lemon is Don Lemon. He thinks everything should revolve around him. He had his nighttime show taken away from him when he was demoted to the morning show and he’s not a happy camper when he’s not the subject of all the attention.

But now reportedly, there’s been another incident. According to Radar Online, Lemon had a second “blowup” at work after the situation with Kaitlan Collins was exposed in all the media. Turns out that the company newsletter featured a story about him losing it on Collins and that caused him to blow up at CNN staffers.

“Don lost his mind internally and went ballistic at staffers after the CNN newsletter highlighted a story about him screaming,” a well-placed insider spilled on Friday.

The newsletter obtained by RadarOnline.com linked to a New York Post article reading, “Tensions on the set of ‘CNN This Morning’ have recently boiled over.”

Now Don Lemon is on “vacation” in California with his partner Tim Malone at the Beverly Hills Hotel according to pictures that Malone posted on Instagram. Is that more time to “cool off”?

In addition to this story showing there’s a continuing problem with Lemon, it also says something that the CNN newsletter would talk about his blowup with Collins. That would seem to suggest that no one is catering to him or covering up any bad behavior, even in the company newsletter. That’s probably what truly upsets him.

Megyn Kelly castigated him for his treatment of Collins and called him a “d**chebag” and said she wouldn’t have stood for such behavior.

    https://twitter.com/MikeSington/sta...volved-in-another-blowout-at-staffers-n699103

But the problem here is that beyond his behavior, the show isn’t working and the ratings are terrible. If the ratings were great, CNN might tolerate him being a bit of a diva. But not when the ratings are in the basement. So what does that mean for Lemon’s time at CNN? One has to think that his time at the network isn’t going to last.

CNN’s Chris Wallace Roasts Republicans for Heckling Biden at SOTU: ‘They Literally Played Into His Hands’
    By Tommy ChristopherFeb 8th, 2023, 8:02 am
    372 comments

CNN anchor Chris Wallace roasted Republicans for heckling President Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech, telling viewers the GOP “literally played into his hands.”

Biden delivered his first State of the Union address under the new GOP House majority Tuesday night, and a raucous majority it turned out to be. At one point during the speech, Biden invoked plans from several Republicans that would cause programs like Social Security to sunset every few years, and found himself flat-out arguing with Republicans screaming “LIAR!” in the middle of the speech.

Seconds after the speech ended, anchor Jake Tapper and his coverage team gushed about Biden’s performance and noted the heckling — Tapper even called it “an in-kind contribution” from the Republicans.

Tapper returned tot the theme later in the coverage, and Wallace opined that the scenario played out almost as if Biden and his team had planned it — and CNN anchor Abby Phillip agreed:

TAPPER: Very interesting. Phil Mattingly, thank you so much. And Chris Wallace, the point that you and Abby Phillip were making earlier, I just keep thinking about the idea that not only did the House Republicans, and again, it was a minority of them, it was not most of them, but the ones who were unruly and yelling and heckling the president, not only did they make themselves look bad, I think really (inaudible) an opportunity to look vigorous.

CHRIS WALLACE, CNN ANCHOR: Oh, absolutely. I mean, they literally played into his hands. You know, I don’t know if the people of the White House as they were drafting it at Camp David this weekend envisioned that happening the way it did, but it played out perfectly. And you know, I’m looking back at the end of that whole sequence where he was engaging back and forth with the Republicans, he said, so tonight, let’s all agree to stand up for seniors.

And of course, one of the things that you notice in the speeches is half the House, the Democratic side for Democratic presidents stands up, the other side sit on their hands. When he said let’s, all stand up for seniors, there was no politician who was not going to stand up for seniors. And so, they were standing up while he said, let’s all agree not to cut social security, let’s all agree not to cut Medicare.

And when they were all standing up, he said, well, apparently, it’s not going to be a problem. It was a brilliant moment that, you know, it like took something that had been prepared by the speech writers and he made it his own and he made it magic. It was really quite a piece of political showmanship.

ABBY PHILLIP, CNN POLITICAL CORRESPONDENT: I just have to say that as President Biden was finally walked out of the chamber, he was and Irishman at heart, closed out the bar at the end of the night. The last person to leave the room. But you know, Chris is so right about that. I mean, I also — I don’t know. Look, talking to White House officials today, nobody was saying oh, they are going to beat Republicans, but as you listen to them take through what they wanted to hit in the speech, they were going right to the heart at all of the big agenda items that are there on the list of attacks from Republicans.

And that was intentional. They wanted to put a Biden agenda on the table that actually, if you’re listening — if you’re an American person at home and you’re not listening to all the back and forth and for the first time you are hearing anything about some of these things, you’re hearing it from President Biden, giving a plan on dealing with opioids, giving a plan or saying to Republicans, let’s talk about immigration, but if you don’t want to talk about immigration, let’s at least pay for border security. Those things will sound eminently reasonable to you.

    TAPPER: Yeah.

PHILLIP: You hear what Biden is saying. You can’t even hear the heckling at all. And I think that was definitely by design. They wanted to get some points on the board on those fronts so that Republicans couldn’t say that Biden was not going to engage with them on this these issues. And if the American people are listening for the very first time, they are hearing it from Biden first.

    Watch above via CNN.

CNN, NYT, BBC, Forget to Mention Terrorist when Covering Deadly Jerusalem Attack

    DEBORAH BRAND12 Feb 2023

CNN, The New York Times and the BBC covered a deadly attack in Jerusalem on Friday by omitting any reference to terrorism or a terrorist.

Thirty-one-year-old eastern Jerusalem resident Hossein Karaka plowed his car into a group of people waiting at a bus stop near Jerusalem’s Ramot neighborhood, killing eight-year-old Asher Menachem Fali, his six-year-old brother Yaakov Yisrael, and newlywed Shlomo Lederman.

Ten others, including the Falis’ older brother and father, were also injured in the attack.

CNN’s headline read, “car rams people at Jerusalem bus stop,” as if cars, and not their drivers, are at fault.

The only instance of the word “terrorist” was when the report quoted an Israeli official.

    https://twitter.com/activistjyot/st...rorist-when-covering-deadly-jerusalem-attack/

The New York Times at least bothered acknowledging that the assailant was a human and not an inanimate object, even if it stopped short of labeling him a terrorist. The headline the newspaper of record chose to go with reads: “At least two dead as driver rams bus stop in east Jerusalem.”

The BBC article described it as a “car ramming attack” but did not employ the word “terror.”

All three news outlets took the opportunity to refer to the location of the attack in Ramot, Jerusalem’s largest neighborhood, as a “settlement” in the “occupied Palestinian territories.”

In the hours after the attack, Palestinian children in Gaza were filmed handing out baklava and other sweets to passersby in celebration of the attack. In other places, Palestinians marched clapping and celebrating the deaths of Jews.

Similar scenes occurred in Palestinian towns all over Gaza and the West Bank less than two weeks ago in the aftermath of another deadly terror attack in Jerusalem that killed seven people.

The muezzin from the local mosque in Karaka’s eastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya mourned the terrorist as a “martyr.”

Chris Cuomo Said, 'I Was Going to Kill Everybody, Including Myself' After Firing by CNN
By Nick Arama | 7:45 PM on February 15, 2023

The Internet is burning up with what former CNN host Chris Cuomo said on a podcast about what he was thinking about after his firing from CNN.

    https://twitter.com/bennyjohnson/st...-including-myself-after-firing-by-cnn-n704156

Cuomo told Anthony Scaramucci on his podcast, “Open Book with Anthony Scaramucci,” that he had to “accept [my firing] because I was going to kill everybody, including myself. Things can consume you. Italians are so passionate. And I really had to fight against that.”

The ousted journalist admitted he “makes a lot of mistakes” and started therapy after being “s–t-canned” by CNN bosses.

“There is damage that is relatable, there is damage that is unrelatable to people that I have to deal with, that I am working on,” he continued.

Cuomo has since gotten a job with News Nation. As we reported, things haven’t been going well. His viewership numbers are pretty bad, averaging about 63,000 a night, versus his CNN show where he averaged a million a night.

He recalled, “At CNN and I wasn’t set up to be [No. 1]. I wasn’t the big name there, I didn’t have the big team, they didn’t do the advertising about me. But I was still No. 1. Why? Because it was the best show. Because I was giving people what they needed in that moment.”

At NewsNation, however, Chris knows that the audience is “small” and “people don’t want to watch.”

“It’s hard to keep perspective on that because it’s kind of embarrassing,” he lamented before sternly telling The Mooch, “I will never be [No. 1] again.”

“I believe that was taken, I believe wrongly. I will litigate that. I am not going to bitch about it in the press.”

As he b**ched about it to the media. You can see he’s still not resolved his issues with getting fired.

He’s in the process of suing CNN, and he said he was also “in litigation” over the cancelation of his book after his firing.

Yes, it’s normal to get upset after being fired. No, it’s not normal to think about killing everybody and yourself; it has nothing to do with being Italian. That’s a terrible excuse, not to mention insulting to Italians. It sounds like therapy was a good idea for him.

But when this hit all over the internet on Wednesday, Cuomo tried to suggest he never said it, that the single quote marks meant it wasn’t a quote but a “characterization.”

    https://twitter.com/ChrisCuomo/stat...-including-myself-after-firing-by-cnn-n704156

“See the single quotes? That means characterization not direct quote…the post [sic] doing what it does,” Cuomo argued, attacking the NY Post for running the story. “The truth: We all struggle; we all have to deal with upset and anger…I am no different. That is the point…you get it…they twist it…so it goes.”

Um, Chris? There’s audio. Plus, he doesn’t understand that the single quotes are AP style for headlines. The headline is slightly off, in that the quote was actually “I was going to kill everybody, including [not and] myself.” Plus, the exact quote is in double quotes in the body of the article, so he’s just being ridiculous. But that’s Cuomo and it isn’t the first time that he’s said something outrageous –such as when he flipped out on the guy who called him “Fredo.” It sounds like he has a lot of work yet to do to figure himself out.

Karine Jean-Pierre fires back at Don Lemon from White House podium, says she hasn't 'hit prime yet'
CNN host Don Lemon was blasted for claiming that according to Google, Nikki Haley is past her 'prime' as a woman

Biden admin takes aim at Don Lemon's sexist 'prime' comments about Nikki Haley as backlash intensifies

Don Lemon's controversial comments about presidential candidate Nikki Haley and when women are past their "prime" were noted by the White House as press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre referenced the remark at Friday's press briefing.

Jean-Pierre briefed the White House Press Corp. along with NSC coordinator for strategic communications John Kirby. After Kirby, 60, finished his brief, Jean-Pierre, 48, commented, "Neither of us have hit our prime yet."

"Oh, we're back to my age again," he responded.

A reporter followed up later referencing Jean-Pierre's earlier comment and asking, "Does the president have anything to say about this national conversation that was sparked after a claim that was seemingly made in defense of the president that Nikki Haley is not in her prime because women hit their prime in their 20s, 30s and 40s?"

The press secretary demurred, "You know, I'm not going to comment directly to that. That is something clearly that needs to be addressed by [CNN]." She went on to tout the number of women and other "diverse voices" in the Biden administration.

"CNN This Morning" co-host Lemon caused outrage on Thursday when he reacted to former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley announcing her candidacy for president in 2024. Haley called for politicians over 75 to face "mental competency tests" at her announcement speech, which seemed to bother Lemon.

"This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable. I think it’s the wrong road to go down. She says people, you know, politicians are something if not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn't in her prime, sorry. A woman is considered to be in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s," Lemon said.

Co-host Poppy Harlow questioned what he meant by "prime" and Lemon said that it wasn't according to him.

"It depends, just like 'prime,' if you look it up. If you Google it, when is a woman in her prime, it'll say 20s, 30s and 40s," he continued. "I’m not saying I agree with that. I think she has to be careful about saying that, you know, politicians are in their prime."

"I’m just saying what the facts are. Google it. Everybody at home, when is woman in her prime, it says 20s, 30s and 40s. And I’m just saying should be careful about saying that politicians are not in their prime and they need to be in prime when they serve. Because she wouldn't be in her prime according to," Lemon said, as Harlow finished his sentence and said, "Google."

Lemon's comments drew immediate reaction online and anger internally at CNN. After posting an apology on Twitter, he apologized to his colleagues during the network's Friday morning editorial call.

But his staff apology was blasted as "pathetic" by a well-placed CNN insider who called the morning show host a "f------g a--hole."

"Most pathetic attempt at an apology I have ever heard in my life," a CNN insider told Fox News Digital. "It did not go over well."

CNN's Don Lemon accused of extensive misogyny, sending threatening texts to female colleague

Embattled CNN host Don Lemon landed in hot water earlier this year for making a disparaging comment about women, but it wasn't the first time he's acted out in the workplace, according to a new report.

A bombshell report in Variety on Wednesday made scandalous allegations about the anchor’s past, such as sending threatening text messages to a colleague and repeatedly exhibiting misogynistic and "diva-like" behavior, but CNN has downplayed the claims as "patently false anecdotes."

In 2008, Lemon co-anchored weekend CNN show "Live From" alongside Kyra Phillips, where he had what Variety called "concerning" antipathy with his female colleague.

"For months, tensions between the pair kept mounting. On more than one occasion, a ‘Live From’ producer and a newsroom supervisor had to pull Lemon off the air during a commercial break because of the anchor’s provocative antics," Variety’s Tatiana Siegel wrote.

Don Lemon anchors "CNN This Morning" alongside Poppy Harlow, right, and Kaitlan Collins. (Mike Coppola/Getty Images for CNN)

"While Phillips was on assignment in Iraq — a high-profile gig that Lemon coveted — he vented his disappointment at being passed over by tearing up pictures and notes on top of and inside Phillips’ desk in the news pod they shared, according to two sources who worked there at the time. When she returned from Iraq, things only got weirder," Siegel continued. "One night while dining with members of the news team, she received the first of two threatening text messages from an unknown number on her flip phone that warned, ‘Now you’ve crossed the line, and you’re going to pay for it.’"

Phillips was "was visibly rattled and quickly enlisted CNN’s higher ups to identify the sender," according to Variety.

"Remarkably, the texts were traced back to Lemon, according to those same sources. A human resources investigation was launched, and while the findings were never disclosed to the growing pool of staffers who were aware of the situation, Lemon was abruptly pulled from his co-anchor duties with Phillips and moved to the weekends. It was a demotion by any objective measure and understood to be some kind of disciplinary action," Siegel wrote.

A CNN spokesperson provided Variety with the following comment: "Don says the alleged incident never occurred and that he was never notified of any investigation. CNN cannot corroborate the alleged events from 15 years ago."

Phillips, who now works for ABC News, declined to provide Variety with a comment. ABC News did not immediately respond when asked for comment by Fox News Digital.

Lemon was not paired with female co-anchors again until 2022, when CNN CEO Chris Licht pulled him from primetime and made him the focus of the newly launched "CNN This Morning" alongside Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins.

"CNN This Morning" has failed to attract viewers, becoming synonymous with internal dysfunction along the way. In February, Lemon irked CNN staffers when he said former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley was past her "prime" at age 51. Lemon attempted a mea culpa during the network's morning editorial call the following morning after his comments were widely condemned as sexist, but it didn’t go over well.

"Most pathetic attempt at an apology I have ever heard in my life," a CNN insider told Fox News Digital at the time. "F-----g a--hole."

    [IMG]Video
Lemon was benched for a few days but continued to anger colleagues when he used the time off to relax on a Miami beach in full view of the paparazzi.

"The incident has spotlighted Lemon’s troubling treatment of women and unprofessional antics, dating back nearly two decades. Variety spoke with more than a dozen former and current colleagues who painted a picture of a journalist who flouted rules and cozied up to power all while displaying open hostility to many female co-workers. Each and every time, he appeared to charm his way out of facing any meaningful consequences," Siegel wrote.

Lemon has also clashed with Collins on air, and a February clip made the rounds where he refused to let the show go to commercial while criticizing Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., after an interview Collins had just finished with him. As Harlow praised Collins for her interviewing skills and said "moving on," Lemon said, "Not moving on," and proceeded to make a speech about having a "shared reality." He also admonished the show's producers to cut the music, so he could speak.

This came after comments Lemon made about the U.S. men’s national soccer team deserving higher pay than the women’s team because they are "more interesting."

Variety reported that Lemon’s colleagues consider him "diva-like" and "a shameless name dropper," who openly dated a much younger male junior employee long before he came out of the closet.

"More troubling was his misogynistic behavior, multiple sources say. Lemon called one of his producers fat to her face. Not long before he was fingered for sending threatening texts to Phillips, he mocked [Nancy] Grace on air by mimicking her, shocking fellow colleagues," Siegel wrote before citing an alleged witness of the Grace ordeal who said, "That was the beginning of when you knew that Don was kind of volatile and didn’t say good things about women."

Variety also reported that Lemon once suggested former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien "isn’t Black" in front of multiple staffers when she was selected to host the high-profile documentary series "Black in America."

O’Brien didn’t exactly deny the allegation.

"Don has long had a habit of saying idiotic and inaccurate things, so it sounds pretty on brand for him," she told Variety.

Lemon’s "CNN This Morning" managed only 360,000 total viewers last week. (CNN screenshot)

A CNN spokesperson added, "Don, Soledad and others have in the past correctly referred to her Afro-Cuban heritage as it is a unique part of her personal story. But Don denies making any related remark in a derogatory way."

CNN blasted Variety when asked for comment about the bombshell report.

"The story, which is riddled with patently false anecdotes and no concrete evidence, is entirely based on unsourced, unsubstantiated, 15-year-old anonymous gossip. It’s amazing and disappointing that Variety would be so reckless," a CNN spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

Despite abysmal ratings and a long history of controversial remarks about women, both on air and off the set, Lemon continues to be one of the faces of CNN. Lemon’s "CNN This Morning" managed only 360,000 total viewers last week, compared to 1.9 million for "FOX & Friends."

They are dropping like flies today. First Tucker Carlson on Fox and now Lemon on CNN. And I have no idea what Lemon might have done because I never watch him.

In a post to his Twitter account this Monday, longtime CNN anchor Don Lemon announced that he has been fired from the network.

In the post, Lemon said that he was informed by his agent this morning that he has been "terminated by CNN."

"I am stunned," Lemon wrote. "After 17 years at CNN I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly. At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work that I have loved at the network."

Lemon went on to say that "clearly" there were "larger issues at play" in regards to his firing.

Lemon has been the subject of recent controversies over his behavior both on and off the air. As NBC News points out, he first came under fire in February during a segment on CNN This Morning where he said that Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, 51, was no longer in her “prime.”

“Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime, sorry,” Lemon said. “When a woman is considered to be in her prime — in her 20s, 30s and maybe her 40s.”

When pushed by co-anchor Poppy Harlow, Lemon told her not to “shoot the messenger.”

After his Haley comments, a Variety report published on April 5 alleged that Lemon has a long history of sexist behavior.

    Funny.
A despicable gets fired and they're all butt hurt about the way it was done.
Not what led up to the firing, or their next steps, but how they were fired.

Reminds Shooter of a woman fired from her job on a Friday morning.
She wasn't pissed she got fired.
She was pissed she had to drive 20 minutes into work so they could fire her.
And she didn't even get the Friday Donut.
    She taught them though.
She insisted they had to give her her final check RIGHT THE FUCK NOW
She was wrong about that and when she refused to leave the company called security and had her escorted out.
And when she threw a trash can through the front window they had her arrested for vandalism.

Remember Paul Harvey? "Now for the rest of the story"....
Seems the woman was fired to give the job to a younger man, AND she was a member of a minority.
She sued for discrimination in the workplace.
When the owner found out what had happened, he fired the manager who had fired the woman.
The manager turned around and sued the company for wrongful termination, and filed for unemployment as well.
      The woman won her lawsuit.
      The manager won his lawsuit.
      The company filed for bankruptcy.

@shootersa What evidence did the Trump administration present to Fox news concerning election fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

    Well?

Fuck you guys I am so sorry. We went out to dinner and I totally forgot to tell you the White House Correspondents Dinner is on CNN. There is still time to catch some of it. Or I have it recorded if someone needs a copy.

You will notice Trump didn't attend them. Too much of a coward. But this is one time, one night where everything else gets pushed aside and take a few minutes to laugh at each other and together.

And about the most worthy thing the White House Press Corp does.

Ii have said this before but my all time favorite White House Correspondence was when Ronald Reagan was president and the reporter that terrified him the most Same Donaldson approached Reagan when they were mingling in the crowd. And Reagan even waved him off; "No Sam, no politics tonight. We are just here to have fun."

And Sam said "Of course not Mr President but I was just wondering if you had seen the recent study where they found that actually only 25% of American males sing in the shower. And the other 75% masturbate."

Reagan kind of busted out laughing saying no he had never read of that study.

"And Mr President of the 25% who do sing in the shower do you know what the most popular songs are? Sam asked.

"Why no Sam I have no idea," Reagan responded.

"I didn't think you would," Sam said as the strolled away.

Ok and for all you right wingers that are actually watching the CNN coverage do not call in any bomb threats. That is a big time felony and the FBI will hunt you down. So don't do that. Regardless of how justified that might be.
